Promoting the successes of the Toowoomba region to the Rest of the World

The Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) has been named a recipient of the Federal Government’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Export Hub Grant. The opportunity for a new export hub in the region will give another platform for locals involved in the oil and gas, as well as food and agriculture, industries to promote their successes and Toowoomba region to the rest of the world.

As a partner, Brighter recognises that TSBE’s work in linking the community with industry has resulted in positive small business growth, and even stronger, viable communities.

“The gas industry, and its export activities driven from the Toowoomba and Surat Basin region, has accelerated and sustained the growth of a diverse economy with particular benefit to local businesses,” Brighter program Director Sarah Browne said.

“It has facilitated more employment in the area and the upskilling of workers into new or expanded work activities, while allowing new businesses to open and thrive.

“Crucially, it has opened the doors for these businesses to join a global supply chain and offer their world-class products and services to an international market.
