Celebrating International Women’s Day
The 8th of March each year marks International Women’s Day. It signifies and celebrates the economic, cultural and social achievements of women and marks a call to action to accelerate gender equality.
The theme of IWD 2019 is #BalanceforBetter. It speaks to the role that both men and women have to play in achieving a gender-balanced world through their homes, social circles and workplaces.
Brighter recently signed a partnership with Science and Technology Australia to help link STA’s Superstars of STEM program with regional and rural schools, so that more young women and girls could hear from the inspiring women taking part in the program.
On top of that we’ve had the immense privilege of telling stories about women in the natural gas industry. Some just starting out in their careers, others excelling at the highest levels. Here, for IWD 2019, are some of those stories.
